Dee's Buttermilk Pancakes
This was a Recipe given to me by Hubby's Mother Dee. She loved to cook, fed a family of 10. There was always food on the kitchen counter.
1 egg
1 cup Buttermilk
2 Tablespoons Veg oil
1 Cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1.In bowl mix egg, buttermilk and oil together
2.Sift flour, baking powder,baking soda, sat and sugar together.
3.Add to Buttermilk mixture and stir.
4.let sit for about 10 minutes.(can be refrigerated and used as kids wake up).
5.heat griddle to 350 degree Fahrenheit
6.ladle about 1/3 cup on griddle ,cook til edges are cooked (about 2 minutes) then flip over cook for 2 minutes more or until bottom is light Brown.
serve with real maple Syrup.
My daughter like mini chocolate chip in her pancakes. I put a few on after poured on griddle.
